With England on its fifth day of a second national lockdown – it started on 5 November – business is very much as usual at Major Son & Phipps, albeit with additional Covid secure measures in place. Unlike the first lockdown when branches closed, this month-long measure which is due to automatically end on 2 December when new regulations will be put into place, means that customers can begin or continue their property search.
The branch is currently by appointment only and anyone entering it must follow our strict Covid-19 protocol. Viewings can still take place in properties, with both the agent and prospective tenant or buyer wearing masks, adhering to social distancing measures and removing shoes or wearing shoe coverings.
The number of enquiries reached an all-time high at Major Son & Phipps since the first lockdown and business is still strong in both sales and lettings. For the former, a one-bedroom cottage on Albany Passage sold in a matter of days when it went onto the market at the end of October, meanwhile for the latter, properties are being let in record time.
Those who are looking for a property to buy or let can view them on our website, Rightmove, OnTheMarket or by browsing our window in central Richmond.
