An All-Time High for the Lettings Market

The private rental market continues to thrive with leading membership body for property agents ARLA reporting that the number of prospective tenants registering at branches was the highest figure on record for the month of June, with 88 registrations per branch. Previously the highest figure recorded was last June with 79 prospective tenants registered.

According to ARLA, rental stock is also slightly down while tenants are also staying in their properties for longer, with the average tenancy rising to 22 months. Finally, according to the report, it takes on average five viewings before a property is let.
